No more cooking cats

The artist made this for me. Punkku seems to like cooking very much but I didn't like him turning the hob on, so protection was needed. The ones sold in shops were not so stylish so I got this one and I like it a lot!
I know there must be a word for this thing in English too, but I'm not sure of the word...

Motorola Moto G (4) 1/33 second F/2.0 ISO 400 5 mm

Nice to see you! I hope you enjoy seeing what I saw earlier.
Please, leave a comment so I know you have been here.

I got a colour spotlight, see it here.

Please read this.

Jypyä Pop from Turku, Finland

I think that's a good place equipment where there is rapid Feet. Now Punkku wretch then gets frustrated.

@Jypyä Pop: I think Punkku doesn't even notice he isn't able to cook anymore. :D

Devi from Chennai, India

That's good..play it safe !! Looks very nice too!

@Devi: Yeah, it's all about safety. And it's a bonus it looks so good too. :D

B. Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United States

Great idea. Did you see my comment on your photo yesterday?

@B. Thomas: Thanks!
I see you noticed I saw the comment. :D

Jeff & Pat from Pembroke Dock, ! Wales !, United Kingdom

Far be it for me to call Punkku names, but "pain in the ass" comes to mind, sorry that's three words . ;>))

11 Jan 2017 2:13pm

@Jeff & Pat: I think "pain in the ass" suits him very well. :D I think I do call him that more often than I call him Punkku. :D

B. Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United States

Oh, I see that you did. Yes, we always put a pot of cold water on the burner too, but as Mike turned around with the hot one, Rocky was there so fast. I hope Rocky learned his lesson but I feel bad seeing him holding his little paw up so much.

11 Jan 2017 2:16pm

@B. Thomas: Oh he was so fast jumping on the burner! I hope he learned his lesson and doesn't jump there anymore. I hope he gets well soon.

Ruthiebear from Titusville, NJ, United States

I like your solution. It is very attractive looking. I am guessing Punkku is not happy!

11 Jan 2017 4:28pm

@Ruthiebear: Thank you! I don't know if Punkku even knows things are a bit different now. :D

L'Angevine from Angers, France

Robert D. Burr from Kingston, Ontario, Canada

An interesting safety device

@Robert D. Burr: And works really well too.

Philnz from Ngatea, New Zealand

I have never seen anything like it. I would just turn the stove off at the wall.

12 Jan 2017 8:45pm

@Philnz: Here in Finland we don't have the wall switch for the stoves, so it's either this or going to the fuse box to cut the power. I think it would be great to have the switch for the stove and don't understand why we don't have those here, it's a great safety device.
