Indian Food

Posted by
ursulakatariina (Ed, Sweden) on 20 September 2014 in Food & Cuisine.

Yesterday I went to an Indian restaurant and had a nice meal. Unfortunately only name I can remember is for the bread on the lower picture, it's a Roti bread and tasted very nice. On the top picture is very thin and crispy bread like food that was served while I waited for the main course to be served.
It was very nice to test the Indian foods after seeing and reading about them in Devi's AM3.

Please, leave a comment so I know you have been here.

I got a colour spotlight, see it here.

Please read this.

Jypyä Pop from Turku, Finland

Indian food was truly delicious experience. I sat at the same table next to that and the stomach was full and left a good taste in the mouth. The picture is very telling.

@Oiva: It was great, I did not have the beer, but I believe it was good too.

Uistnomad from North Uist, United Kingdom

Putting me in the mood I might just have to find my recipe book tonight. The crispy bread is a poppadom

@Uistnomad: I think I may have to start learning to do my own Indian foods as there are no Indian restaurants in my town...

The Mouse from Glasgow, United Kingdom

Looks great, Glasgow is the Indian food capital of Scotland , I like it but not too spicy.

@The Mouse: It was good, not as spicy as I would have liked but it still was good.
I don't know what's going on in my head but I have found myself thinking of Glasgow almost every day recently and I have dreams where I have a little apartment in Glasgow and live there with two beautiful cats and a parrot... Maybe I should have a little vacation in Glasgow soon, maybe just to see the Indian restaurants there... :)

Devi from Chennai, India

Happy you liked our food..
This recipe is from the North of India..where Rotis and side dishes are the staple food and ofcourse rice too. That crispy thing is the pappad..or pappodaom..I suppopose you could stand the spice !!!
Thank you for mentioning me..
May be you should taste some South Indian food too:)))

@Devi: It was great, not as spicy as I hoped for but still great. I asked for the spiciest version, but after the meal I told the waiter it wasn't as spicy as I hoped and he told me he had asked for a milder one as he thought that I wouldn't be able to eat the spiciest one! :)
I have to see if this restaurant has any foods from the South India and then next time I'll try one of those. :)
