Winter 2

Posted by
ursulakatariina (Ed, Sweden) on 27 January 2013 in Landscape & Rural.

The crack on the ice made me feel a little uneasy, but luckily the ice was strong and we got on the ground without wet feet.

Canon PowerShot SX30 IS 1/250 second F/8.0 ISO 200 11 mm

Nice to see you! I hope you enjoy seeing what I saw earlier.
Please, leave a comment so I know you have been here.

I got a colour spotlight, see it here.

Please read this.

Jypyä Pop from Turku, Finland

Very cold temperatures will crack, because it can not be flexible. When will the ice time, it is said, that will appeal. It can definitely hear even close to the lake. There was beautiful day.

@Jypyä Pop: I'm just happy it didn't start cracking more when we were on the ice. :)

Christine from Ellemford, United Kingdom

You definitely want to be on the right side of the crack!

27 Jan 2013 7:31am

@Christine: Yep. Luckily the crack didn't start to get any wider. :)

Bruno F from Planète Terre, Europe, France

To cross or bot to cross the line... That is the question !

27 Jan 2013 8:10am

@Bruno F: Hehe, I really had to think that for a moment on the ice. :)

CElliottUK from Reading, United Kingdom

You ARE nuts being out on that!

27 Jan 2013 8:33am

@CElliottUK: It feels great to be nuts! :)

Oiva from Turku, Finland

Happy weekend for both of you!

@Oiva: Thank you!

Have a nice Sunday! And don't break any bones if you are going to a sledge ride again...

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

Lovely glittering highlights, but you are a bit mad being out there :-)

27 Jan 2013 9:03am

@Curly: Thank you!
I think I must be more than a bit mad going on that ice. :)

The Mouse from Glasgow, United Kingdom

Nah, perfectly safe, must be about a foot thick there.

27 Jan 2013 10:26am

@The Mouse: I sure hope it's safe, but can't know for sure. There was a little place where the water came on the ice from a tiny hole and around it one could see that the ice was about 15 - 20 cm thick, but who knows if it's that thick everywhere on that lake... :)

Adela Fonts from Barcelona, Spain

Awesome!
