People on ice

Posted by
ursulakatariina (Ed, Sweden) on 14 January 2013 in Sport & Recreation.

Yesterday on my way back from a grocery store I saw something moving on the lake. I had to look couple of times and at the end I just had to believe my eyes - there was a group of people ice skating on the lake. If I wasn't so scared of cold water I would love to go ice skating there too!

Nice to see you! I hope you enjoy seeing what I saw earlier.
Please, leave a comment so I know you have been here.

I got a colour spotlight, see it here.

Please read this.

Jypyä Pop from Turku, Finland

Maybe they know that the lake will take. And there are always those adventurers.

@Jypyä Pop: I think they know the lake very well... Or they are just super brave.

Mukavaa ulkoilua

@Ari: Juu, olishan tuo jos siinä jään alla ei olis jääkylmää vettä... :)

Jeff from Pembroke Dock, United Kingdom

Lovely winters scene, but the ice is far too cold, and definitely to hard for my tender bottom to crash on it. ;>)

@Jeff: And think about the water under the ice - super cold and wet!

The Mouse from Glasgow, United Kingdom

As long as they checked the thickness first, it's years since i skated on a pond.

14 Jan 2013 4:56pm

@The Mouse: I hope they did check it first!

Oiva from Turku, Finland

Either it's a small lake has received some good ice that can already skate! Either you buy skates soon?:-))Haleja.

Happy Monday evening, my love!

14 Jan 2013 7:24pm

@Oiva: I did look today and the ice was still whole, so it seems they survived without getting wet. :) I would love to have skates, but I think I couldn't make myself to go on that ice with or without skates.

Have a nice evening.

Ruthiebear from Titusville, NJ, United States
