Evening in my Swedish town

Posted by
ursulakatariina (Ed, Sweden) on 6 December 2012 in Landscape & Rural.

Yesterday it was snowing all day long. After work, on my way to grocery shopping, I snapped this one.
It's a bit dark, but that's how it is this part of the world in the morning when I go to work and in the afternoon when I get home from the work.

Canon PowerShot SX30 IS 1/4 second F/2.7 ISO 400 5 mm

Nice to see you! I hope you enjoy seeing what I saw earlier.
Please, leave a comment so I know you have been here.

I got a colour spotlight, see it here.

Please read this.

Jypyä Pop from Turku, Finland

Beautiful twilight moment.

@Jypyä Pop: Thank you!

Christine from Ellemford, United Kingdom

Super glow through the trees

6 Dec 2012 7:30am

@Christine: Thank you!

Richard from Ellemford, United Kingdom

Really atmospheric. While it must be frustrating at times having to go to work in the dark and return, it makes the spring and summer even better!

6 Dec 2012 7:34am

@Richard: Thank you. One can only hope the next summer is better than people tell the last was... They say they didn't see much sun around here last summer... :)

Oiva from Turku, Finland

Great picture, then the winter came, there your suit!:-))Haleja.

Happy day for both of you!

6 Dec 2012 8:47am

@Oiva: Yep, the winter came and now everything is white.

Have a great day!

Nazzareno from Rome, Italy

Wonderful atmosphere.

6 Dec 2012 11:49am

@Nazzareno: Thank you.

Ari from Turku, Finland

6 Dec 2012 1:05pm

@Ari: Onneks oli nuo katuvalot sentään vähän valoa antamassa - ilman niitä olis pelottanut varmasti kun ei yhtään tiedä mitä mutkan takana on. :D

CElliottUK from Reading, United Kingdom

I used to think that we in the UK had it bad when it came to winter sun(or the lack of it), but this looks way more black!

6 Dec 2012 3:01pm

@CElliottUK: It's really bad here, it's now 4.16 pm and the sun has gone down already. Luckily we don't have the polar night here - it's hundred of kilometers north from here. :)

Ruthiebear from Titusville, NJ, United States

I like the sparkle of light on the snow amid all of the darkness.

6 Dec 2012 7:32pm

@Ruthiebear: Thank you!

The Mouse from Glasgow, United Kingdom

Quiet by the looks of it.
Moody shot.

6 Dec 2012 8:51pm

@The Mouse: Very quiet, not so much people around here.

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

I have the same problem, hardly see daylight at all these days.

7 Dec 2012 12:22pm

@Curly: I'm starting to forget what daylight is... :D
