Pier at Lilla Le (Little Le)

Posted by
ursulakatariina (Ed, Sweden) on 3 December 2012 in Landscape & Rural.

Yesterday was our first whole day in our new home in Ed, Sweden. The weather was cold and beautiful.
The pier in the picture is on lake Lilla Le (Little Le).
What I have seen of this town so far has made me think I'm gonna like it here. At -10°C it was way too cold to sit on the pier and enjoy the sun...

Nice to see you! I hope you enjoy seeing what I saw earlier.
Please, leave a comment so I know you have been here.

I got a colour spotlight, see it here.

Please read this.

Jypyä Pop from Turku, Finland

It's great that looks promising. That landscape is somehow soothing. Lake or at the beach is always a good place to feel at home. Nice view.

@Jypyä Pop: Thank you!

CElliottUK from Reading, United Kingdom

-10! You are going to need your best thermal underwear!

3 Dec 2012 7:05am

@CElliottUK: I really do need more winter clothes! The thermal underwear I have aren't even close as warm as I need them to be! :) And they say it's not uncommon that the temperature goes down to - 20 here in the winter.

Loukas from Athens and Thessaloniki, Greece

Too cold but also really nice! Not for swimming I suppose

3 Dec 2012 7:13am

@Loukas: Oh no, I wouldn't swim there, but I know people in Finland and in Sweden do swim in icy waters during winter.

Christine from Ellemford, United Kingdom

Nice if you will enjoy there, now, of course, too cold, but when it comes to spring and summer so then you can sit on the pier and watch the sun rise early in the morning!Good luck with the new job to both of you! :-)) Haleja.

Good frosty days! We have a -16 degrees below zero!
