There are things in this picture that tell I need to practice the use of a flash more. Much more.
This picture has not been manipulated, just cropped The Artist off from it.

Canon PowerShot SX30 IS 1/125 second F/3.5 ISO 200 8 mm

Nice to see you! I hope you enjoy seeing what I saw earlier.
Please, leave a comment so I know you have been here.

I got a colour spotlight, see it here.

Please read this.

Jatta from Joensuu, Finland

But very good timing - now we waiting for a big jump!
I hope you will get a sunny day!

17 Sep 2012 5:02am

@Jatta: Well, unfortunately I did not get the big jump... The cat was faster than the camera and I. :)

It looks like there is a small change we'll see the sun today. I hope a sunny day to you too.

It is certainly focused on it's prey

17 Sep 2012 6:27am

@Christine: Yep, he just loves his toy!

Jypyä Pop from Turku, Finland

Blood-hungry animal ready to jump. Eye brightness indicates the strong will.

17 Sep 2012 6:32am

@Jypyä Pop: Hehe, he certainly looks like he is ready to kill. :)

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

A black cat sat down in front of my car yesterday in the middle of the road and refused to move!
Didn't bring me much good luck either.
Perhaps if I'd had my flash ready it may have startled it into action :-)

17 Sep 2012 8:01am

@Curly: Maybe he just wanted a lift home... :-)

Ari from Turku, Finland

Zombie kissa:)

17 Sep 2012 10:46am

CElliottUK from Reading, United Kingdom

You can see where the inspiration of Catseyes in the road came from

17 Sep 2012 3:11pm

@CElliottUK: :) Sometimes it's easy to see the source of the inspiration...

yiannis krikis from thessaloniki, Greece

nice catch

17 Sep 2012 4:04pm

@yiannis krikis: Thank you!

ruthiebear from Titusville,NJ, United States

Though the eyes are a bit scary, the cat is adorable and so focused on playing with the strong toy. Did he leap at it or try to paw it?

17 Sep 2012 4:36pm

@ruthiebear: Thank you.
He did leap for the toy few times and then he just started to sleep. :)

Philnz from Thames, New Zealand

Good timing with the flash, a mid air shot would be good.

17 Sep 2012 5:27pm

@Philnz: Thank you. I would love to get one (or many) mid air shots of him leaping after the toy. :)

omid from mashhad, Iran

17 Sep 2012 5:31pm

@omid: Thank you!

Jeff from Pembroke Dock, United Kingdom

I don't know why ,but that Cat makes me think of a poem by Rod Mckuen " A Cat named Sloopy " Google it if you get a chance...I can't read it without a tissue, enjoy.

17 Sep 2012 7:22pm

@Jeff: I googled it and it is beautiful, sad, but beautiful. I just wish I'd googled it at home and not at work... :)

The Mouse from Glasgow, United Kingdom

That looks exactly like one of those tin cat scarers with marbles for eyes.
Love the shot, already to go.

18 Sep 2012 5:13pm

@The Mouse: It sure looks like one of those!
Thank you!

Sally from Glasgow, United Kingdom
