A rejected gift

Posted by
ursulakatariina (Ed, Sweden) on 9 July 2012 in Animal & Insect.

Pantteri, or Panther in English, tried to pay for the cuddles with a little mouse. We told him to go home and come back later without the mouse...

Not a good picture, but had to be shown. :)

Canon PowerShot SX30 IS 1/40 second F/5.0 ISO 800 37 mm

Nice to see you! I hope you enjoy seeing what I saw earlier.
Please, leave a comment so I know you have been here.

I got a colour spotlight, see it here.

Please read this.

Oiva from Turku, Finland

Nice Kitty is back, he probably thought was a long time away so have to bring a gift, that it what we humans we take when we go to the village!:Haleja!

Beautiful day for both of you!

@Oiva: Yeah, he was coming to a visit with a gift, but we told him come back later without the gift...

Great day for you too!

Christine from Ellemford, United Kingdom

It does look like a miniture panther

9 Jul 2012 6:35am

@Christine: That's why we started to call him 'Pantteri'. :)

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

Poor thing, he was only trying to be kind :-)

9 Jul 2012 8:50am

@Curly: I know. He came back early today without gifts and was invited in again. :)

CElliottUK from Reading, United Kingdom

Little presents...always a joy to find one of these on the mat ... particularly when you haven't got any shoes on!

@CElliottUK: I'm so happy the door wasn't open when he came with the present... I really can live without dead mice in the house. :)

Jypyä Pop from Turku, Finland

Panther is certainly a little mocked right now. He want give best of him. Maybe he understand later.

9 Jul 2012 11:32am

@Jypyä Pop: I think he has forgiven already - he came by early this morning and spent some quality moments in with us before he saw a bird and had to go again.

Julie L. Brown from Indianapolis, Indiana, United States

good story to go with the image. Is this a stray cat?

9 Jul 2012 1:25pm

@Julie L. Brown: Thank you.
I think he is not a stray cat. He seems to be used to people and likes to be cuddled and he is very clean and looks like he is used to good food.

The Mouse from Glasgow, United Kingdom

Just as well your allergic to them or you would find a gift on a regular basis, great shot.

9 Jul 2012 7:07pm

@The Mouse: I really hope he learned at the first time that we really don't need these gifts... :)
Thank you!

Philnz from Thames, New Zealand

Nice shot but as you say a bit on the dark side

9 Jul 2012 9:01pm

Arash from Brisbane, Australia
